3 Teeth!! Haha!

We have our 9 month check up on Monday, so I was going to wait to post her 9 month stats, but I just thought that this picture was so funny and I couldn't wait to share it with everyone! I was folding laundry, and Bird was helping (or rather sitting there waiting for me to put a shirt on over her head). Well, I was thrilled to catch this shot displaying all of her three bottom teeth! Gosh, they are too cute! Haha! We still don't have any on top, but they'll start coming in soon, I'm sure. Brooklynn has recently been eating biter biscuits, which she has decided is more fun to feed to the dog than to actually eat herself. Then, on Tuesday I stopped by Publix and picked up some of the Gerber Yogurt Melts (peach flavor), and she LOVES them! She was putting one in her mouth and accidentally bit her finger and cried (and looked at me like it was my fault...haha). I put a couple on her high chair tray and she put 3 in her mouth as one time! I was telling myself, "okay, don't panic, she's not going to choke..." Always the worrying first time mom! I'll be sure to update again next week after the doctors appt, but as of right now: no crawling, clapping, waving, or pointing yet:(.

First Swim Lesson

Saturday was Brooklynn's first swim lesson, and she had so much fun! We were worried that she wouldn't be too thrilled to get into the lukewarm water, but she went in like a pro and had a blast! She splashed around and laughed like crazy! She, even, put her face in the water!! I'm not too sure if she like it or not:). The class lasted about 30 minutes, but Bird was ready to get out after about 20 (she started to get a little cold and fussy). I'm not sure who had more fun, me or her! We are doing the class with my friend Katie and her son, Jessie, and Brooklynn and Jessie were laughing at each other and really hit if off. We can't wait to have class next Saturday:)!

1st Christmas!!!

Words cannot describe how wonderful Brooklynn's first Christmas was! She was such a great helper when decorating the Christmas tree, and she loved helping to wrap presents, too (okay, so I'm exaggerating a little with that one:)! We went to Michael's mom's house for Christmas Eve and watched all the kids open their presents from Grandma and Grandpa (our nephew, Kaleb, who's two years old, was so excited to unwrap all the presents...it was so cute). Brooklynn loved pulling the tissue paper out of the gift bags and playing with it! Haha! She, also, loved all the price tags that were attached to her new outfits! Michael and I joked around that she would have been happy with a gift bag full of tissue paper and price tags! Christmas morning we woke up and the three of us celebrated Christmas together. I recorded everything with the camcorder (okay, I had the camcorder in one hand and the camera in the other)! She got so many toys, shoes (thank you Grandma Julie:), and clothes...very spoiled princess! That afternoon, we went to Grandma Julie's house for a huge feast and more presents. It was so great to spend the holiday with our family, and we're so blessed to be surrounded with amazing people. Brooklynn had the best 1st Christmas that we could have ever hoped for! We can't wait for the next one:)!

Our Little Santa Baby

When I got home last night, Brooklynn was in such an awesome mood that I decided to get some pictures of her (we all know how difficult in can be taking pictures of an ill baby:). These pictures were taken right before bathtime, hence the half naked baby...haha! I threw on her Santa hat and grabbed the camera, for I knew I had all of 5 minutes before her temperment would change! She was hamming it up! Gosh, I love this littlen munchkin! Christmas is so exciting with her in the house!

7 Month Stats

Well, Little Miss Brooklynn turned 7 months old yesterday, and she has become quite the little individual these days! She can sit up all by herself for long periods of time, and she has even begun to lean forward and roll around...I think she'll be trying to crawl in no time! She has mastered "Da da," which has daddy so happy! She has two teeth on the bottom, but still not too much hair! Oh, and we're pretty positive that her beautiful blue eyes are going to stay blue:)! She weighs around 15lbs (still our little tiny baby) and wears some 3-6 months, but mostly 6-9 months. She loves eating solids (spinach is her favorite...Grandma Renee found that out). She loves drinking water from her sippy cup and/or from a water bottle (still needs our help to hold it). She's sleeping through the night, and loves her nightly bedtime story ritual. Oh, and YES, Georgia dog is still her best friend!

Beauty Pageant Winner!

We signed Brooklynn up for the Little Miss Harvest Pageant at the Villa Rica Civic Center on November 28th, 2009. She looked so adorable (especially with the matching hairbow that mommy made)! We were so nervous that she was going to start crying when she got on stage, but she completely hammed it up! She was smiling and laughing and the judge's loved her! Daddy took her on stage, and he was smiling from ear to ear...you could just see the pride in his face. Overall, she swept it all! She won People's Choice Most Photogenic, Judge's Choice Most Photogenic, and Little Miss Baby Harvest Queen! We had a blast!

Our First Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was so wonderful this year! We started out at Grandma Renee and Grandpa Javier's house, where we got to see Auntie Heather, Uncle Todd, and Brooklynn's cousin Dina. Boy did we stuff ourselves with the best turkey ever (not to mention ham, awesome sweet potatoes (dad's fav), and everything you can imagine. Next, we were off to Grandma Julie's house! Some of our family came up from Florida (Janice, Jerry, Kelly, and Michael) and it was so great to get to see them all! Brooklynn was in a great mood all day, and loved being in the limelight. Grandma Renee took this picture of her in front of her Christmas tree, and we're using it for our Christmas cards. We are so thankful to have such a great, loving family!
